TONY

BEET

Tony Beet came to Bearwood Corks Club with a two recording careers already under his belt. Not only has he played sax on the Jazzasia CD project he put together with Stuart Price last year, but he was also lead singer for the Ska supergroup, the International Beat.

Tony has been a regular in the audience at Bearwood Jazz, but until August the only music he'd played for us was a little tinkle on the piano while the band was setting up(above).

Now, though, he has shared a couple of successful double bills with Paradigm Jaunt. He played tenor and soprano saxes in a Jazz set with Bob Braidwood on piano and Jazzasia cohort Stuart Price on double bass. He also played and sang on a Ska number in a recent Jam Night with the Blue Notes.(right)
