Birmingham born Trombonist, Dennis Rollins, is a veteran of the National
Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and the legendary big band, The Jazz Warriors.
Famed for his work with Courtney Pine, he has, in recent years, carved
out a considerable reputation with his own band, Bad Bone and Co.
With
Bad Bone & Co. Dennis demonstrates a unique and exciting approach
to the under-rated trombone proving that it can be an exciting front-line
instrument. His high energy, groove-based funky dance music with jazz
overtones appeals to audiences of all ages.
He has recorded 3 albums
in his own right as well as playing all the major Jazz Festivals
across Europe and the UK. He has also played and
recorded with acts including Courtney Pine, Gorrilaz, Jazz Jamaica,
Jamiroquai, Cyprus Hill, Tom Jones, Erykah Badu and Sting, but he
will still return to Brum to jam with Andy Hamilton!
