MIKE FLETCHER
| Multi-saxophonist Mike is building a reputation as an impressive exponent of the post bop school of jazz whilst still managing to incorporate a broad range of styles from bebop to the avant-garde. With his regular quartet, Mike has played in a variety of settings - most recently a well received set at the Wigan International Jazz Festival. Mike also plays with the nationally acclaimed Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra and Fat Chops Big Band. As a sideman, he also plays with Sal Erskine's 'Polar' ensemble and the afro-beat band, 'The Fela-ship' and has performed in varied settings with such jazz luminaries as Peter King and John Dankworth. |
