Sonny Bradsaw and Myrna Hague are Jamaicas first couple of Jazz, and every time they come to the UK they play at the Bear with Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes. A living legend, Sonny's is a jazz pioneer, bandleader, producer, promoter, composer, arranger, recording artiste, journalist, teacher and creator of various radio and television commercials and programmes. Past president of the Jamaica Federation of Musicians, member of the board of the Jamaica School of Music and the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission, he is also the founder and director of the Ocho Rios Jazz Festival. During his career, Sonny has had the distinction of selecting and leading Jamaican musicians accompanying world famous artistes Sarah Vaughn, Johnny Ray, Brook Benton, Johnny Mathis, and the Mighty Sparrow among others. Besides being his wife and partner, Myrna Hague is a singer, actress,
journalist, vocalist with the Jamaica Big Band and the Jazzmobile, member
of the board of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission, past tutor
of the Jamaica School of Music and winner of the Caribbean Broadcasting
Union Song Festival 1990. Myrna has won the Jamaica Music Industry Award
for jazz several times as well as the Jamaica Federation of Musicians
