Thanks For Your Support
We've made our target!

So it's a big thankyou all round. Here's amessage from our organisers, Paul and Kim:

“ Hey guys!

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year! We just wanted to say a big thank you for all the generous donations we received towards our GoFundMe page. With your help, we reached our target in just a few weeks, and can now start planning for our big return in 2021 when restrictions are lifted! We have many exciting plans for the Silvershine in the coming year, including a live recorded album featuring the beautiful voice of Vic Evans, as well as many gigs to help keep jazz alive in Birmingham and give the city’s young jazz musicians a stage to showcase their talent!

Thanks again for all the love and support we’ve received over the years and we look forward to seeing you again at the Silvershine (hopefully) very soon!

Also looking forward to the gig and album launch for Dr Steve Tromans that we've had to postpone twice now due to the pandemic! Can’t wait for this one to happen!

John Smith & Malcolm Gibbons
Guitar Quartet - 23trd January

John & Malcolm

Ace guitarists Malcolm Gibbons and John Smith return to the Silvershine Club to bring us some more scintillating Jazz guitar. John and Malcolm are two of the very best Jazz guitarists in the West Midlands and have played with some of the best the region has to offer including our founder Andy Hamilton MBE and Silvershine favourites the Steve King Big Band.

This gig is a must for all lovers and players of guitar based music.

Bryan Corbett Quartet
- 30th January -

JBryan & Band

Bryan Corbett (trumpet / flugelhorn) is a local musician with a national and international reputation. The band he brings to the Silvershine Jazz Club is his own high powered quartet, namely Al Gurr on keys, Neil Bullock on drums and Ben Markland on bass.

It's always a thrill to welcome Bryan back to the Silvershine Jazz Club, and Bryan has always loved to play for us ever since Andy Hamilton gave him his first break all those years ago. I can proudly say that I have Bryan's music on both CD & VINYL!
