Celebrating the legacy of legendary saxophonist and composer, John Coltrane. Two sets of compositions associated with ’Trane, featuring Tromans’ 2004 rearrangement of the seminal A Love Supreme and also premiering a new Tromans original written in the style of Coltrane’s late period. Tromans’ rearrangement of A Love Supreme was first premiered to mark the 40th anniversary of the suite’s original studio recording, and will now be performed with this new quartet as the totality of the second set of this exciting evening finding new ways to honour and pay homage to the great John Coltrane and his classic output.
